What happens in your episodes?
Our episodes (usually about an hour long) usually consist of us reviewing a film or TV show, outlining the plot, discussing strengths and weaknesses and rating it out of ten. We then provide recommendations, not necessarily limited to film or TV.

Why are you called “Entertainment of Excellence”?
It’s a long story, and it involves an easy beginners’ trumpet book called “Standard of Excellence”. The pieces in it have groovy backing tracks so it makes it seem like the person playing the trumpet is doing more than they actually are.

Technical details – how do you record and what with?
Ollie uses a Neewer NW-700 condenser mic, Thom uses a Samson Q2U dynamic mic through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface, Ben and Ollie use a Shure SM58 dynamic mic through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 interface.
Audio and visuals are simultaneously streamed live to YouTube using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and recorded to a 320kbps M4A file, which is submitted to podcast platforms once the stream is over. We don't edit our episodes because it gives a more relaxed, live feel to the final product.
As of May 2020, we are in lockdown due to COVID-19, so we are currently having to discuss through a Discord voice call which is inputted through OBS to stream live on YouTube, but once social distancing measures are relaxed, we plan to record together instead of over Discord, so sound quality will improve substantially.
